Nation Magazine Discussion Group

The Nation Magazine Discussion Group of Bradenton/Sarasota meets to discuss current events and to find ways to improve our nation. The first Thursday of every month we meet at 10am in the downtown Sarasota Selby Library. On the first Monday of each month we meet at 6pm in the downtown Bradenton library. On the third Thursday we meet at the North Sarasota Library at 10am to discuss pending actions and future speakers. Email nationtalk@gmail.com for more information.

Joe, Sandy, Terry and Tom with Bob Connor and John Welsh on the Peace and Justice Show WSLR 12/6/11

Today we were guests of the Peace and Justice Show on WSLR. We discussed economics, Occupy Now and other current issues. Thanks to Bob and John for having us on! The second half hour we interacted with Matt Rothschild, Editor of The Progressive via a phone call.

Our Mission: The Nation Discussion Group of Bradenton/Sarasota is a nonpartisan gathering of progressive-minded people, who meet to educate themselves and the community about the issues of our time. We share articles from The Nation magazine and other sources, and invite speakers to provide their expertise. We are pro-working class and against corporate greed. We believe that government should serve all the people. Through our discussions we hope to inspire rational political thought and action that will lead to a more just and democratic society
